Burlington Clinic

Keith Karpinski, PT, ATC, CSCS


Keith is a graduate of The University of Vermont and has been a licensed physical therapist since 1998. He has been a certified Athletic Trainer since 2001 with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Keith has been a part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy family since 2003. Keith specializes in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine. He has extensive experience working with local orthopedic surgeons and providing pre-and postoperative care. Keith has attended numerous continuing education seminars, including the completion of all course work in the McKenzie Mechanical and Diagnosis Treatment methodology of treating neck and back pain, Kinesiotaping, Graston Technique, and Dry Needling. Keith is married with two daughters.  His personal interests include exercising, coaching, golfing, boating, hiking, and snowboarding.  

Taylor Lebria, Admin


Taylor has been part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy team since 2022. Prior to joining LTPT, she worked as an Administrative Assistant at Cedar Wood Natural Health Center. Taylor grew up in Essex, VT and loves spending time with her dog Stella and her cat Stanley.

Makayla King, DPT, ATC


Makalya is a local resident from the New North End of Burlington. She is a graduate of The University of Vermont with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. She attended Castleton University for her undergraduate degree where she double majored in Athletic Training and Health Sciences and graduated in 2020. Makalya joined Long Trail Physical Therapy in 2022. Makayla has extensive experience in sports medicine and outpatient orthopedics. While at Castleton, she worked daily with college athletes on and off the field. Makayla has experience in sports medicine and outpatient orthopedics. She has experience working with high school athletes at Burlington High School. Her personal interests include Crossfit, talking sports and finding local eats around the area with her partner Almir.

Joe Rutherford, MSPT


Joe is a graduate of The University of Vermont with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and has been a licensed physical therapist since 2007. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Michael’s College in 2000. Joe has been part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy family since 2007. He specializes in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Joe treats a wide range of patients with varying ages and fitness levels. Joe utilizes the Graston Technique and concepts of Functional Stabilization Training to provide patients with the best possible care. Joe enjoys time with his large family. His personal interests include hiking, playing soccer, spending time with family and friends, undertraining for long runs, working on his home, and hack golfing. 

Samantha Ruberti, Admin


Samantha is a graduate of Johnson State College with her Bachelor's in Health Science. Samantha has been part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy family since 2008. She has worked as an administrative assistant at several of our locations. Samantha assists in scheduling, verifying insurance benefits, and billing. Samantha was born and raised in Vermont. She is married and welcomed a baby in 2018.  Her interests include the great outdoors, spending time with her dog, fitness, motorcycles, and craft beer.

Jordan Young, ATC


Jordan is a graduate of Castleton University and has been a licensed Athletic Trainer since 2019 with the National Athletic Trainers Association.  Jordan specializes in sports medicine and is the Athletic Trainer at Milton High School. Jordan's personal interests include watching sport, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Michael Cooper, DPT


Michael graduated from Clarkson University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015. Prior to Clarkson University, he competed in Track and Cross Country while getting a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011. Michael has been part of the Long Trail Physical family since 2015. Michael specializes in outpatient orthopedics with special interests in post-operative rehabilitation, tendinopathies, and work-related injuries. He is Graston trained and utilizes an individualized graded exercise approach to rehabilitation. Michael has worked as an assistant cross country coach at Norwich University since 2016. His personal ​interests include coaching, running, hiking, and fishing.

Maia Blacklock, Admin


Maia is a graduate of SUNY Canton with a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management in 2011. Maia has been part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy family since 2011. She did her internship with Long Trail Physical Therapy at that time. Once completing her bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management at SUNY Canton, her career took her to an administrator position at Middlebury Dental. Maia joined Long Trail and has been with us since 2015. Maia is married and has a young son. She enjoys running and spending time with her husband, son and two dogs.

Brock Morrison, PTA


Brock is a graduate of SUNY Canton and has been a licensed PTA since 2014. Brock has been part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy family since 2014. He specializes in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy and sports medicine. Brock utilizes a combination of land based and aquatic therapy to treat musculoskeletal conditions. Brock’s personal interest includes exercising, strength training, and spending time with friends.

Andy Filion, ATC


Andy is a graduate of Johnson State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a minor in Sports Medicine. He has been a certified Athletic Trainer since 1998 with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Andy has been part of the Long Trail Physical Therapy family since 2000. He specializes in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation and sports medicine. He has extensive experience in high school and clinical settings. Andy has attended many continuing education seminars and is certified in the Graston Technique and has completed all course work in the Kinesiotaping method. Andy is married and has a daughter. His personal interests include hiking, biking, hunting, and home brewing. 



Richmond Clinic

Tori Lamphere, DPT


Tori has been practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy throughout Chittenden County since 2008, joining Long Trail Physical Therapy in 2022.  She enjoys treating patients through a holistic approach, combining her manual therapy skills with specialized exercise programs for patients of all ages and diagnoses.

Brenda Boisvert, Admin


Brenda joined the Richmond Long Trail team in early 2022 and assists in other locations on occasion. She has worked as an administrative assistant for many years. Brenda was born here in Vermont. She grew up in Williston but has resided in Richmond since 1988. Outside of work she loves to read, watch football, sitting on the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Jessica Fay, PTA


Jess is a graduate of Maria College with an Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She has been a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2001. Prior to Maria College, she received a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Castleton University. Prior to joining the Long Trail PT team, Jess had extensive experience in the Acute hospital and Sub-acute rehabilitation settings. This experience gives her a wide range of skills.

Jess specializes in outpatient orthopedic patients of varied age and skill levels. She is interested in post-operative orthopedics and sports medicine. Jess likes to use Swedish massage, Graston, and Kinesiotaping in her treatment approach.

Jess has enjoyed being a running buddy for a Vermont City Marathon kids team. Her personal interests are road tripping, hiking National Parks (9 completed to date), running, and playing volleyball.

Joanne Milano, Owner, Practice Manager


Joanne is a graduate of Plymouth State University and Lasell College. She has been part of Long Trail Physical Therapy since 1999. She became an owner in 2002. Jo specializes in the medical billing and runs the day to day operations for Long Trail Physical Therapy. Jo has 3 children. She enjoys watching her kids play sports, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

Denise Johnson, Administrative Manager, Medical Billing


Denise is a graduate of Katharine Gibbs School of Boston, Massachusetts. Denise has been working remotely from Arizona since 2016 as the Administrative Manager/Medical Biller for Long Trail. Denise has over 30 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in legal, medical and educational settings. Denise resides in sunny Gilbert, Arizona with her husband Todd. She enjoys biking, boating, golfing, and hiking with her husband, and long walks with their dog Nugget.
